The Faculty of Computing & Engineering has opened a dedicated AI & Data Science Lab on the ground floor of the Computing building, built for both teaching and student project work.
The lab gives Data Science & AI and Cybersecurity students access to GPU workstations for machine learning projects, a dedicated security testing environment, and bookable project rooms for capstone teams.
"We wanted a space that feels like a real tech company's workspace, not a lecture hall," said the Head of Computing & Engineering. "Students are already using it for their Year 3 capstone projects with industry partners."
